March 1st, 2007 05:56 PM #233Bina-browse pala niya yung Tsikot website from his PDA via WiFi while waiting for his interview. :-)
Anyway...so long as the guy does his job well, okay lang yon. Yun nga lang, if he IS loaded with gadgets and stuff, etc., I wouldn't expect him to stay in the job for long. Malamang he'd just be gaining experience then be moving on after a year or so...

Talo sa taste test Starbucks coffee o:
McDonald's coffee beats Starbucks, says Consumer Reports
The Associated Press
SEATTLE -- Consumer Reports has declared McDonald's coffee the winner of a taste test against three rivals, including coffeehouse giant Starbucks.
After sampling four leading brewed coffees for its March issue, the magazine said McDonald's premium roast coffee bested competing cups from Burger King, Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, the world's largest specialty coffee retailer.
The tastings were led by a professional tester, and included staffers from Consumer Reports' food-testing division, spokeswoman Heather Joy Thompson said.
The group tasted medium cups of coffee -- no cream or sugar -- at two locations from each company in November. They rated McDonald's premium brand the best, calling it "decent and moderately strong" although lacking "subtle top notes."
Others didn't fare so well. Dunkin Donuts' coffee was deemed "inoffensive, but it had no oomph." Starbucks was labeled "strong, but burnt and bitter." Burger King's offering resembled coffee, "but tasted more like hot water," the magazine said.
Consumer Reports said McDonald's was the least expensive, at $1.40 per cup on average. Dunkin' Donuts was the priciest, at $1.65.
In response, Starbucks spokeswoman Sanja Gould said taste is subjective and pointed to the Seattle-based company's sales.
"The 44 million customer visits to our stores per week globally indicate that many people enjoy our premium coffee," Gould said in a statement.

Yup. I would inquire about his background just to make sure he's not a wanted criminal or a convicted felon. If he's clean, then it don't matter whether he lived in a mansion or a carton box. If he has the skills and integrity (I'm big on integrity) to get the job done, then I'd consider him as equally as anyone else.
That's pretty much it. I have younger co-workers with much better cars, better pc's/laptops than me. I have one who bought a top-end Alienware pc plus a top end Dell pc (around $8k total for the two pc's) within 10 minutes just so he can have 2 additional characters in "Evercrack". Of course, now, it's WoW he plays a lot of. I don't question his tastes. It's his money. He's single, he's very smart, never been in trouble with the law, no permanent GF yet.....

mataas ang turnover ng employees who have something to fall back on --- like rich parents. they don't really care about job security coz they dont plan to stay long and they dont really need the money.
college students who are used to receiving/handling relatively big sums of money (like spending on cars and other big ticket items) wouldnt be excited about making a few thousand pesos a month when they graduate... to them, that almost laughable.

Not in our case though.
We have a handful of engineers who are richy richy. What they have do not go inside their heads.
Instead, they're just like any other engineers,- they come to work on time, are hard-working, technically-capable, loyal and dependable. And, they mix well with the other employees....
