Not a fan of Starbucks either. Used to go there regularly only because it was right across our office and we didn't wanna hang out in the office before working hours because our boss makes utos if she sees you early lol. I avoid Starbucks na because I've associated it with work and I can't tolerate caffeine na

you go to commercial coffee shops to check the cakes. Ako majority eh sa coffee bean & tea leaf dahil lahat ng cake nila doon flourless cake (Pero 99% kasi yung base at side minsan cookie crumbs. )

Nakakapanghinayang nga kasi walang turtle pie ngayon dahil pag ber months lang daw.

Yung starbucks inookray ko kasi nagbebenta ng pinasosy ensyamada my gawd!!!!!

i go to the coffee shop for coffee.
i go elsewhere for cakes. they have more choices there.
but if one wants to limit his choices...

coffee shop like starbucks, CBTL and yung bago na masarap daw donut hindi ko pa natikman eh tingin ko dessert shops. Yung coffee nagigng "drug" na lang. Its not a beverage to be excited. Nung natikman ng madla ang milkteh eh finish na si coffee.

And doc nabasa mo yung pinost ko studies na mga nagkaka "long covid" daw ngayon eh mga talamak na coffee drnker. Mabuhay na talaga nag mikteh

if you read up on the history of coffee, you would know that it really is a drug. kings and emperors imbibed it, to "keep them excited".
and if you read up on teh, you would know that the allure of tea is in the caffeine. it has but 1/3 of coffee's caffeine.

not much literature re. milkteh and covid survival.
maybe it's because they drop dead on the spot, before the milkteh is consumed.

Meron bang gumagawa ng milk teh sa bahay? With pearls?

Maraming offices may coffee maker, meron na ba kayong nakitang office na may milk teh maker?

i have lipton tea bags in the home and in the workplace.
i do tea espresso.
pinipiga ko before discarding.
sayang kasi ang katas.

i also have green tea bags. para may iba naman.

but no sago ("pearls"), and no cheapest-of-the-cheap-sugars (molasses and panocha variants).


i have a selection of various coffee three-in-ones, for regular rotation.

Talaga naman I go for cakes lang kasi hindi na talaga ko pwede sa coffee. It gives me LBM and palpitations for DAYS. Ewan ko bakit pag tungtong ko ng late 20s biglang hindi ko na matolerate caffeine, nung early to mid 20s ko naman coffee ako daily

UCC masarap cakes, though yung gumagawa ata ng cakes nila (not sure until now) nagbebenta din for pick up sa village, syempre dun ako kasi mas mura :P Nagtayo sila shop sa Petron Dasma but that's closed now

Turtle Pie kags meron dito sa Makati homemade nagbebenta

Na miss ko na naman si Dr Cutie kasi when I visit him I always bring him food (mostly cakes or pastries)

coffee kasi is more of a habit na lang. Yung sinasabi mo sa bahay na 3in1 is more of a LAMAN-TIYAN.

Look at the excitement sa dinala ng milkteh & boba. The combination kasi eh JACKPOT. Kungbaga milkteh eh dessert in lquid form.

PAg purely coffee ang starbucks, tim hortons, coffee bean & tea leaf eh pupuntahan ba ng crowd yan? Mga purist lang pupunta jan like you and doc d. Dahil sa desserts kaya pati mga bata napapatambay starbucks nakakasoften ng ambience. Masyado kasi matapang dating ng kape.

Ano yung sumikat sa starbucks nung late 90s = waffle with whipped cream and mocha frappucino. All because off whipped cream = dessert looking.

Tim hortons nga pinipilahan yugn donut madali maubos.

ILan na kaya nakadate ko way back hindi inuubos kape, pag close ko na pinagsasabihan ko wag sayangin.

Eh sa milkteh ninanakawan pa ako ng pearls. Sasasbihin pwede patikim yun pala hihigupin yugn pearls sabay tawa. Kaya ngayon pag makikihigup ako humahawak ng straw, inaangat ko na hanggang middle lang para hindi masupsup sago.
