Mabuti na lang Pancake House/Tboy decided to put up Sizzling Pepper Steak instead of buying out Pepper Lunch.

The only problem is -- kalat kalat yung Sizzling Pepper Steak. I hope they don't strangle Pepper Lunch in the process.

You know who is another likely target for Pancake House...

    MANN HANN!

Kasi wala silang Chinese sa portfolio nila and MANN HANN is a casual dining place pretty cheap but really good! The place is always packed!

The owner of Pepper Lunch isn't worried.

After the novelty wore off, the Sizzling Pepper Steak in Festival Mall settled in to a steady but unspectacular business.

The Pepper Lunch across the way at ATC is still fully packed at most times and spilling out into the corridor on weekends.

Build one less seat than you can fill. Keep your quality up. You have regular customers who keep coming back, while the other guy exhausts all the first-time walk-in customers after a few months then makes less money than you after the first year of running.

Last time we ate at Sizzling Pepper Steak, the beef tasted like old cow. Gamy, tough and unappealing. Ugh. It isn't always like that... but there's a reason it was easy to get seats.

Pepper Lunch? Haven't eaten there for a while. Can never get a seat!

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Pancake House can't afford to buy out PEPPER LUNCH. It would cost nearly 40 Billion Pesos. Much more than what the Lorenzos are worth.

Have not really tried Pepper Lunch at the ATC,- palaging puno. During weekdays naman,- katamad dahil maliit lang ang dining area nila... Sa corridor kasi, hindi airconditioned....

Sizzling Pepper Steak at the Festival Mall,- Mooo at Stop yata ito, di ba?. Whenever we have the opportunity,- wifey and myself go there for a quick meal....

Ate at Pepper Lunch a few times before. Definitely better than Sizzling Pepper Steak... like going into (the pre-Pancake House) Teriyaki Boy after eating at "Tempura" or "Tokyo Tokyo".

Don't get me wrong, we eat at SPS too... but it's a hit-or-miss kind of thing... sometimes it's good... sometimes just okay... sometimes it's bad. And that's hard to achieve when the customer is basically the one cooking his own food! Which is why we stopped eating there a while back... simply couldn't be bothered to calculate whether we'd get value for money on that particular day in that particular weather.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

At pansin ko pa ito, pag delivery, take out, or drive thru sa Jolibee, McDo, or KFC; ang lalaki ng servings. Pag dine in, ang liit.
