Masgusto ko ang plastic kesa sa Lata..Katulad ng ginagamit sa Bottled Water. Recyclable ang mga plastic.

Tama si kiper, plastics are recyclable. Pansinin nyo ang mga fastfood outlets like jollibee, mcdo, may bumibili ng used plastic containers nila. These are sorted according to the type of plastic raw material used, washed, grinded and then pelletized. After pelletizing, these are as good as virgin plastic resins. Plastics and Cans are both recyclable, ang problema lang sa pilipinas ay ang mga consumers and garbage segregation. And I don't think there will be a problem regarding the plastic contaminating/having chemical reaction with the food content. Diba mga vinegars natin with very high ph levels ang iba nakaplastic din.

But going back to their main objective which is to lessen the price of preserved foods thru the packaging material, I have no idea how much a sheet of tin can costs compared to a gram of plastic resin pero mukhang malabo na makakatipid din tayo dahil plastic resin is a by-product of oil and everytime tumaas ang barrel of oil taas din ang price ng sack of plastic resin.
A sack of plastic resin now costs double compared to its price 2 yrs ago.

Plastic resin (PP & PE) prices are susceptible by peso-dollar rates.

    sakin:

*ok pag plastic packaging; some tin cans corrode faster than its contents expiry..
*cost efficient? imported pa ang raw components since we dont have one single low-grade pp/pe/ps plant commissioned todate..
*recycling? applicable to highly urbanized society; sa atin we can barely muster a decent campaign regarding garbage segregation (perishable/plastic/glass) compliance..
