I am a dual itizen, Phils and Canada. Stayed and worked in Vancouver for 5 years to get my citizenship. Then returned to Phils to run my business.

If you really want to migrate to Canada, do so while you are still young. Have enough money to live at least 6 months to 1 year. 1st jobs are hard to get in Canada. I have my own business in the Phils. When i started working in Canada, I had to get survival jobs. Entry level part time work. Really below my qualifications. Had to start as a part time driver in an auction working 1 to 2 days a week. lso had to do pizza delivery. This is bec, Canadian companies look for Canada work experience. If you are lucky and work for a multinational company in the Phil, and your boss will give you a very good letter of recommendation, then its easier to get good jobs.

The benefits of living there are: you get free public schooling, health care (minimal payment per month, normally a company benefit after a certain number of months with the employer), nice lifestyle, minimal crime, and safe enviorment for your kids. You also get to benefit from your taxes.

cons; very high cost of living. house prices are very expensive. rent first. dental and eyeglasses are your expense, not part of health insurance. hard to get good job.

Ok naman din kami, my parents are quite young and they are still working... I haven't consulted my parents yet because I know somehow kokontra din sila malamang dahil malalayo sa kanila yung baby ko na unang apo, alam mo naman pag mga lolo at lola...hehehe..
yung father in law ko naman is also doing well, independent at free spirit din, sa awa nang Diyos ay di rin naman umaasa sa amin, so parang steady person lang siya..

kaya if ever we migrate, kaming 3 lang talaga at malamang walang umaasa sa amin back home, sana if we could earn enough makatulong din kami sa kanila.

Ayoko maging barkada mga Chinese and American born Chinese even if i have chinese blood.

Marktams, you still have time pa naman. Im not sure where you are in the immigration process right now. Pag isipan ninyo mabuti. Dont forget to ask your parents and her parents opinion also.... Good luck

yeah kawawa nga si IM but I also thought that his pride could have been a hindrance to his success. I just did not want to dig deeper into his past since I am just an acquaintance and I felt that I could hurt him emotionally if I did.

Kumusta na kaya si TS? Ano kaya naging final decision nya? Anyone here in Tsikot who still plan to migrate abroad?

Kasi sabi ko ang Hirap magback to Zero and for sure kapit/higpit sinturon yung kung sakali man.. Thanks
