September 24th, 2005 11:12 AM #16I got married last December... I don't have the pics with me right now, but we combined the cake with the giveaway. We bought 200 sherbet glasses from Quiapo, decorated each of them with a ribbon and a small card, filled them with blueberry cheesecake, made a base, and stacked them about six feet high (that plus the table, maybe eight-nine feet total).
At the end of the cake-cutting (wherein we merely took the top glass off) we started distributing the glasses, so EVERYBODY got cake (I hate it when they use fondant and only the sponsors get cake, that's the reason we thought this up) and EVERYBODY got a glass (some got two).
You might not use this, but doing something like this is a good way to kill two birds with one stone.
