    Heard that too from common friends with my ex for 8 years (i.e., them telling her)... I just chuckled and told them that we were not meant for each other, and changed the topic....I knew then, that it would be hard for both of us, especially her... but then, sadly, enough was enough....

    Oh well (I'd like to think I was/am a good man and that's her lost)....I steadfastly respected her during those years.

    No regrets on my part...
