Where can you find the air intake adjust valve of a Honda Civic '04?
    Vti M/T
    1.6 VTEC3 engine

    eto kasi

everytime i kick the throttle and suddenly release it, the RPM dives to about 300rpm or lower for less than two seconds then goes back to the normal 750-800. Sometimes, the engine completely stalls. The bad part is that it usually happens when moving, so when shifting, at high speeds, the engine stalls sometimes and i have to restart.

It happens while moving most of the time. But when parked, it happens but most of the time it's normal (drop to about 1000rpm and down to 800rpm). Only when moving or "gliding" lang talaga.

Wala naman problem ang engine itself, malakas ang hatak and can rev to redline without bad signs.

Our trusted mechanic said its most likely because of the air intake, but he couldnt find the adjusting valve. Does anyone know where it's located? Near what? any pics? thanks!

you can't adjust the idle air. have the throttle body cleaned pati the sensors. normally that solves the problem.

This is true, idle air are factory sealed. If you touch that bye bye to your waranty. Also 1000 RPM on idling are way off, Normal RPM idling on your honda is 700. If your RPM flactuated check for a vacuum leak like vacuum hose leaking , clog oropice or there is a leaked in the intake manifold.

sounds like your valve tappets need adjustment. maybe even a good throttle body clean.

okay thanks for the suggestions. ill have it checked.

what i meant by 1000rpm is that when moving at a high speed then ilagay sa neutral, bababa ang rpm sa 1000, then once bumagal na ang car, bababa sa idling speed na 750.

    thanks for the replies

dropping to 1000 before 700 is fine. it's dropping to 300 that you have to fix.

yup. but you know what, nawala lang bigla and problem. ganito lang for a few days. we didnt need to have it fixed na.

    this is actually what happened

we went out of town for two weeks, and the car wasnt started throughout that time. Then since out of warranty na ang battery, and matagal na di na-charge, yun nasira na... A few push starts, then pinapalitan na ang battery within the day. Yun for the first few days nagdidivebomb ang tach. I wonder if it has anything to do with not running it for 2 weeks. actually the problem was present before we left, but not that bad na namamatay talaga ang engine while shifting at high speeds. Do you guys think its related to this? Im beginning to think na baka nagkaganun kasi na-reset ang ECU because tinanggal ang battery. Ngayon ok na eh...
