What's this thing between the intake manifold and air cleaner?

Guys, I want to ask lang poh about sa engine ng diesel na adventure and pati poh yata sa revo merun nito:

Yun poh ba extra container between the air intake manifold and sa air cleaner mismo yun poh na maliit na parang air cleaner din eh para saan poh ba yun?, curious lang poh kasi ako dahil yung sa FX ng friend ko tinanggal nya pero wala naman dw poh effect.

Anyone here can explain that thing and kung anu poh tawag dun sa module na yun at kung para saan poh yun?. I think na marami din poh sa inyo ang nakakapansin dun pero di rin poh alam kung anu at para saan poh yun kaya i hope makatulong din poh itong thread na eto sa ating mga tsikoters

It must be the water trap (Hula lang po ).

water separator, just in case your air cleaner caught little water. It is placed lower than the air intake pipe, so that little water/foreign liquid sucked will be trap in that canister.

things found in the air induction system can be a resonator(intake air muffler), intake air temperature sensor of debris/water separator. can you describe approxiamate dimension and exact location in the air induction system?
