Testimonials are worth crap when it comes to scientifically supporting product claims.

Best oil additives are no additives at all. Simply follow the recommended oil grade and maintenance service schedule.

additives really work thats why the engine oils we buy already have them. putting extra additives is just a waste of money just as shadow have said. some people buy the cheapest oil they can get and then add additives. they claim a lot of benefits they get from the additive. try doing some math and you will find out that you are spending even more as compared to buying a really good engine oil.

GH is right. you dont need an oil additive. current oils have their own additives already as well as cleansing agents.

Use high quality oils na lang and regular oil change.

No need to use additives. IMHO.

I'm not a fan of additives. Any kind for anything. Great way to make money though

Just follow the required interval for changing oil, filter and of course the right viscosity recommended by the manufacturer and all will be well. Anything more is psychological.

Also observe the DON'Ts in driving like engine soak, cold starts and the like.

If you have a very good oil, high API rating, correct Viscosity Grades appropriate for your engine, there is no need for oil additives.
Motor Oils, specially the good ones are already loaded with many aditives to counter the effect of internal combustion.
It is equipped to handle even the most severe operating conditions engines will experience.
Low viscosity motor oils are energy conserving and ensures fuel efficiency. Some are designed for very low emission control.
However, if you have the extra money for it and will satisfy your curiousity, go ahead, no harm will bring to your engine(assuming its an authentic and good additive).

The reason it's called an additive, is because it's for engines with a current setup that is insufficient. Either get a better oil, catch up on deferred maintenance, and keep it in top shape. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Additives are for severely neglected engines whose owners want a quick fix for, if "fix" is even the right word.
