[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY4YiEBnJ_8"]YouTube- Will e85 conversion kits damage, ruin or harm my engine [NO!][/ame]

This video shows an engine from a Chevy Tahoe being inspected after running over 100,000 miles on E85, and how the internal engine components look like after using E85 for that long period.

There's a lot of myths surrounding bio-ethanol nowadays. No doubt it's corrosive, in it's 100% form, since it alkaline. But just diluting it to 85% was a good compromise on modern vehicles and still be able to maintain proper lubrication on the engine.

Compared to E85, E10 is very little bio-ethanol concentration to worry about. It's a way to break in the public on what's new to come. I understand the concern since our carburated or other fuel feed system of older design. But until the concentration goes higher than E10, i can say it can be used with confidence, as long as the older cars or other EFI engine not compatible kuno are maintained properly as usual. The only thing that needed to be done to the is for the engine to be tuned properly to the fuel type (correcting the timing and carb mixture or right throttle adjustment for EFI). Otherwise, it will not run right, and you will experience some hesitations, jerks, sputters, etc. Or if it will make you feel better, you can upgrade the fuel system to something more modern, including the fuel pump, the lines, coated tank, modern carburator and fuel rail for EFI. Then have hardened valves installed, and your older engine like carburated should be ready for E85.

i think kaya marami na sa atin na hindi nagsasabi na hindi maganda ang bio-ethanol like like E10 dahil na brain-washed tayo masyado ng mga nagbibigay ng wrong information about ethanol mula sa mga anti-ethanol groups.

e sir, yun po bang mga small players may sariling refinery para makapag produce ng non-E10 blended gasoline? o they're getting it from big players din? so even do sinasabi nilang non-E10 pa yung ibang gas nila, pero meron na pala kasi nga wala naman silang refinery. what do you think guys?

    possible yan.

I hate it, the car runs slower with it. I also get worse fuel mileage since I have to use the lead foot due to the power loss. But between Petron E10 Unleaded and Shell E10 Unleaded, Petron is worse; and Blaze doesn't help either.

Also... E10 gasoline "spoils" so quickly in my fuel tank. Three to four weeks and the engine runs so poorly on it. This is compared to my last purchase of Petron XCS (without E10) which lasted five months.
