how about denso?i saw there flyers before that says they offer calibration services?its in banawe if im not mistaken.
Try mo Betan Calibration, a lot of forums highly recommend this shop, I think it's owned by Doc Diesel.
try so search info about your engine first.
if im not mistaken, sa japan, engine/vehicles are being phased out not because hindi naka pasa ng emission standards, but you inherent design mismo ng engine nila wasnt design to meet stricter emission standards.
try to check yung manufacturer emission reports for your engine, baka dun palang di na papasa. especially with a engine designed 20 years ago, designed to meet emission standards set 20 years ago
whether an engine was designed 20 years ago, any reputable calibration shop should be able to bring it back to OEM spec as far as fuel injection is concerned.
I personally wouldn't worry about it since we even have jeeps running on 20+ years engines and they can still pass.
nicko
do what most PUJ operators do.
hehe bayaran ang emission para pumasa, no trip the injector calibration shops needed.
im not so sure,i think it well depend on your engine and kung ano ang mga kelangan palitan na parts.Originally Posted by antonmace
I currently go to Mr. Diesel along Ortigas in Pasig. Already spend around P. 9,000.00 since I think they change the nozzle tips and a lot of parts. I think it would have been cheaper If I just bought a surplus injection pump nalang sana. But still there is still black smoke coming out. I already did what the jeepney drivers do which more economical gave lagay to pass the emission test. But I kinda hate it everytime I accelerate there's black smoke coming out. I will try to go to denso and betan to see what they say but if they want me spend another 9,000 I think i might consider getting a surplus injection pump instead.
You paid 9k for something that didn't solve your problem? wala bang warranty yun? did they really replace the parts? and what were those parts?
paano ba malaman kung kelangan na ipa-calibrate injection pump?
I remember last year I brought my '99 Frontier to Central Diesel (quoted 22k) and Sterling Motors (quoted 15k) and they both recommended that I calibrate my injection pump... since my truck is not that old, I decided to just replace my oil filter, fuel filters (2 pala sa frontier), and air filter and gumanda noticeably ang takbo ng sasakyan ko... I still wonder though if getting my pump calibrated will further improve the performance specially since I feel that the truck is not giving me the power and mileage I used to get from it lalo na kung di ko pinainit makina bago mag-A/C...
Usually when there is black smoke coming out of your exhaust you have to calibrate your and injection pump. But when it is White smoke coming out of your exhaust kalangan pa check na yung engine either cylinderhead or valves ang dapat e adjust na.
Yes Doc Diesel may 1 year warranty kaya lang everytime I go there they always tell me to change another part which makes me spend more money. Anyway my mechanic has solved the problem I just put a surplus injection pump and it works na. Will try to bring my old injection pump to betans or denso.
I don't know if they are still around but I used to have mine calibrated by ZEXEL along Edsa near Munoz. ZEXEL is a brand of injection pumps so the ZEXEL Service Center is considered the casa of injection pumps. If your injection pump is ZEXEL, then I am recommending this shop. Hope this helps
Yes thanks doc vic the brand is Diesel Kiki which I just found out they change to Zexel when Bosch bought the company.
