I had a chance to have a plant visit in Honda Car Plant in Sta. Rosa, dun mo makikita kung pano nila rev up yung engine with transmission (di pa yun naka mount sa chassis) and pag na complete assembled na yung car, they have a test platform with steel rollers for the car tire (pwede sia umikot freely), electronic gadgets and with barriers kung sakali kumalas yung car, dun talaga todo rev up yung engine sagad yun for how many seconds, forward then reverse also. Note 100% of the production they test on that platform.
Maybe ganun yung comment nila iwas lang yun sa possible mga factory defects if ever.

Wow, that's nice. Stress-tested na rin pala ang makina bago ipadala sa showroom. Looks like they're testing it the proper way too, with tires mounted and a rolling road simulating load on the engine and transmission.

Yep its baloney as the other said. Pero I think it won't hurt if you follow some guidelines during break-in like not revving it beyond 3k and running 100km/h at most.... I have just recently completed my break in for my Civic 1.8V as well 3 weeks ago (right now my odo is 1,236) and now sinusubukan ko hatawin pero walang lugar para hatawin kasi route ko from QC to Makati madalas trapik pinakamabilis ko na 120 sa may SLEX going to Makati-Manila border...

oh my sir... i ran 3-4k 140km/h but not most of the time.
when i left manila my odo was 225 now its 858.3,hehehe.
although hataw din na masasabi but i make sure na mejo
ingat pa din ako. well, malalaman ko result when i reach
my 1000 for its 1st pms. usually po ba sir ano nakikita on
its 1st pms?

Wala naman normally checkup lang kapag 1k PMS. Walang change oil, wala ding pinapalitan puro inspection lang yan... Pero pansin ko tinakbo nila yung car during the PMS kasi pagbalik sakin after the PMS nadagdagan ng mga 3 km yung odo ko....

kalokohan!!! just drive it to Baguio or anywhere you want for that matter, and if any issue come up, then claim it under warranty!!!
