sige hanap muna ako ng 6cylinders isang tanong pa ano iyong transfer case na dapat iconsider din sabi ni boss otep?
atsaka isa pa anong masasabi nyo sa mga makinang ito 4D31, 4d34 or 4be1

Mas maganda kung 'straight' ang set up mo. Meaning yung tranny, engine at axles ay galing sa iisang donor vehicle. Yung iba nga (like AMC Hammers) ay rebody ng donor vehicle (Nissan Patrol). So that most of the OEM settings are untouched.
Transfer case is yung tinatawag na 'dual'.
You should know kung saang donor vehicle galing ang components mo. And dapat alam mo OEM tire size ng vehicle na yun. And stay within 10% of that size (10% up or 10% down). Kung 31" tires naman ang gagamitin mo, malamang oks na iyan kasi common size naman ito.

qman, its not really the engine. Even a 70bhp Pajero can take trails as long as the suspension, tires and gearing are set up properly. It's just about knowing the limits and not going beyond them.

qman::: Pwede kahit na anong engine. Even gas powered units can drive the trails. Pagkakaalam ko Manila Offroaders use Chevy V6, yun nga lang di matched sa differentials kaya sira ang axles nila sa isang competition.

Even bone stock vehicles can cope with the 4x4 trails that we encounter. Gear matching will be your essential tool to overcome difficult obstacles.

kung 4dr5 engine ang gagamitin mo tapos body/chassis na lang ang matitira sa rig mo. sa opinyon ko sayang lang. kung ako sa 'yo i-dispose mo na lang yan at bumili ka na lang ng mitsubishi willys jeep galing japan.
may mga alam akong mitsubishi jeeps na binebenta. ang mods na gagawin mo ay lift na lang with bigger tires, power steering to be a competent trail rig. the unit cost will range from 150K to 180K. compare these prices against the cost of your upgrade then decide.

October 7th, 2003 07:43 PM #37btw, 4dr5 din yung engine ng mitsu jeeps na sinasabi ko although may mga ibang engines(including 4dr5 turbo) na ginamit for these jeeps mas common dito yung 4dr5.

finally got a td27 complete engine/tranny/differential
a complete donor from nissan terrano. just like sir ungas and otep said mas maganda nga ang complete donor dahil ikakakasa na lang.
and iyong sinabi ni kimpoy na mas maganda kung me disc brake, nasunod ko rin iyon.
my question is what is the biggest tire na pede kong ilagay doon, na di nakailangan ang regearing.
Im planning to power it up, i mean branded as much as possible ang ilalagay ko like the shocks and suspension. Nagtatanong tanong na ko kung saan ako makakabili nito at it is available sa Abu Dhabi UAE. Iwe weigh ko lang muna ang prices against dito sa pinas.
any other suggestion sa project kong ito.
