guys, ask ko lang kung anung tawag sa mods na yan? it seems na parang wala ng airfilter yung intake?
any details? hehe nacurious ako

You wouldn't want to drive your car everyday without an air intake filter. It would just shorten the life of the engine.

That looks like fuel injected individual throttle bodies.
The ones you probably see "all the time" are most likely dual weber carburetors with individual throttle bodies, which are cheaper and easier to find.

a throttle body for a cylinder? wow! anu kaya ang boost nito? exceeds a turbocharger kaya?

It just means better air flow into the cylinders. Less problems with flow turbulence, venturi flows, etc. Also better control on the air and fuel mix flowing into the cylinders.
This was the performance solution when early single point efi systems were introduced. Some cylinders ran rich while at the same time, other cylinders ran leaner with a single point fuel injection system.
