according to my SA, hindi naman (citimotors). ewan ko nga lang pag nagkataon na may ma-damage baka umurong bigla ang dila ng SA ko hehe
medyo ot pero bilib din ako sa customer appreciation ng k & n. after ko bumili ng drop-in air filter nila last year, ni-register ko iyong product nila sa website nila sabay sagot ng online survey . as a sign of their appreciation, after a few months sumulat pa sila sa akin at nag-padala pa ng panibagong sticker. na-eentice tuloy ako bumili uli ng air filter nila para sa monty naman namin

High flow filters like K&N, Simota, etc, IMO, are not for daily driven cars. Sacrificed ang filtration, maganda lang sound pag accelerate pero very small ang gain. You have to get it very dirty for it to be efficient. Tama lang siya sa racing.

been using Simota Cone on my Honda Civic 99. Probably washed the cone 2x or 3x.. id like to have the filter replaced eventually. Can we buy a "generic" Cone with the same dimensions as Simota? Parang plug and play lang.. thanks

I read an article comparing OEM filters with K&N filter . . .

For the last nine (9) years, I have stuck to using Simota open filter in my 97 hilander. Why? More grunt (power), greater FC (have to recalibrate fuel pump due to greater air intake. This dinosaur does not have a MAF sensor) and of course, a nice bass sound to the engine. How did I make the adaptor? Bought a cheap open filter intake assembly from Concorde (for a big body corolla), bolted it on the stock intake, made a bracket to minimize engine vibration on the tube and bolted on the Simota. Cleaned it twice a year with joy or axion and lubricated it with WD40 (read it in some forum here. Probably archived by now).
Will see if all of this was worth it once the engine gets overhauled. From what was posted here (and in the web as well), filtration and restrictiveness is a subjective issue. Would like to see it first hand once the engine gets opened up. Will keep you guys posted on this.

Stock airfilter lang ako. Napakaliit lamang ng difference sa performance ng sa K&N vs Stock. Kung di sinabing K&N ung gamit ng car, di mo malalaman may difference.
repair kit lang. car care nut says, for toyotas, he recommends entire assembly replacement for...
