Sand blasting is used on heavy course surfaces. Glass bead blasting is more often used on non critical engine parts for aesthetic purposes only.

Depending on bead size, air pressure applied, and the distance of the blasting gun to the workpiece, bead particles may imbed. Most OEMs don't recommend glass bead blasting on soft material like aluminum and bronze. Beads can also stick to greasy parts, and cause engine damage if not properly cleaned after the blasting process.

Remember, these beads are glass which splinter on impact, and have sharp corners.

    Ingat lang.
