December 2nd, 2002 07:23 PM #21This was one funny and sad experience with the auto-start car alarm
I was in a car accessory shop mga 2 months ago and there was this corolla having a new HU installed in his car. The car was equipped with an auto start car alarm. So nung kinakabit na yung HU nya may nag park na starex right in front of the car na may binibili din sa shop. Then after a few minutes, the owner of the corolla accidentally sat on the remote of his car (eh naka 1st gear un auto tapos handbrake down kase sagabal nga naman yung handbrake up sa mekaniko na nagkakabit ng HU).... there it went, nag auto start then headon sa starex  whew... napagastos tuloy ng 3k yung owner ng corolla for the bumper of the starex
So if you're planning on installing an auto-start feature in your car, always remember the simple ABC - Always Be Careful. Safety First ika nga!

You can leave your heater on then start the car malayo ka pa lang. Nung nasa Minnesota ako, how i wished AVIS would give me a car with remote start.
Siguro useful din satin dito. You can leave your A/C on.

December 10th, 2007 03:11 PM #28*yudyin,
Hindi dapat bumukas ang pinto ng kotse. AFAIK, remote start systems are added on the alarm system, so you use the unassigned botton/s dun sa remote (normally combination of bottons).
