Ang mahal pala ng K&N oil filter. It cost Php1,300. For those who wanted to buy purolator oil filter, authorized distributor ung Big O's Tire Corporation. They have this ACDelco battery booth and I saw their purolator too. Mas cheaper than VIC.

I often see the Repsol Brand Mineral based oil as advertised. Okay ba ang quality nito? how does it fare against Castrol GTX for diesel engine?

dvldoc, changed my oil filter to fleetguard LF3564, noticed that the oil indicator on the dash goes off faster than when using Baldwin BD28. Actually this is more the same as the OEM oil filter. what could be the reason for this?

The LF3564 has a better flow rate due to its full flow section being microglass vs a mixed media cellulose.

I am not familiar with them. But here's the MSDS of them.

    Lubricants

    Lubricants

Their diesel oils meet cummins standards so that's a good thing.

Looks like perfectly fine oil, a little low in the ZDDP but good moly and boron to make up for that. And at almost 15000kl
on this sample still has enough TBN to go a few thousand more.

But if you have car with sluge issues this would be a bad oil for you since the detergents are so low (calcium) is way below the normal average.

dvldoc, speaking of sludge, is it safe to assume that sludge is from use of low quality oil + low quality filter?
