    20w50 was a mistake. its incorrect viscosity for any vehicle nowadays.

    either the SA or Mechanic was negligent.

    2013 ang unit namin pero sa manual, API SL ang minimum requirement. Ginagamit ko kung anong oil ang available. Pero sa oil filter, hindi ako nagtitipid.

    Normally from what I know high viscosity oils are used on high mileage cars because of the high clearances of pistons rings. The oil serve as the sealant for good combustion. For new cars low viscosity oils are used to enhance normal break-ins and proper seating of piston rings. Hope this not damage your rings.

    Yes, car manual is best reference. Also, Platinum oil is definitely cheaper than Nissan's. I use platinum to "wash" my grab cars' engine, using it for 2,500kms and draining it early and replace with my usual oil.
