With the money you will be spending, you would be better off with an engine swap.
Get the PnP wrong, your engine will guzzle gas with no power gain.

For the same amount of money, might as well get a custom designed mandrel bent exhaust from a shop like Brodeth... Will result in much more power, will be completely reversible (you can take it off and sell it if you get tired of it) and it's harder to completely f*** up.
Port and polish only makes sense after you've had a full intake and exhaust made, cams and a tuning chip or ref lash installed.

Simul lang katapat ng power na hinahanap mo.
800 pesos lang.
Punta ka sa trusted carburetor shop mo, sabihin mo sakanila ipapa-simul mo. They should know it.
After nun, get an aftermarket air filter. Meron naman adapter yan para pwede ka mag-SRi.

More power from a 2E? Honestly if you ask me, there's not much that can be done with it on a cost-effective aside from tuning the car well, adding a good set of headers and a cold air free flow intake. Shave the flywheel and you'll lose more low end torque (or hatak) so useless din.
If not, sell the car and get a 1.6L.

April 13th, 2012 07:34 PM #7Bakit kelangan mo palakasin? I maintain mo lang ng mabuti yang makina mo para hindi mabawasan ang power. Kung gusto mo bumilis ng konti yung kotse mo, pagaangin mo na lang yung kaha - alisin laman sa trunk, rear seats, accessories etc
