lagay mo diesel he he he (joke lang)

toyota XE, malamang 90's model na yan, so ok lang kahit unleaded gamitin mo. may ibang cars like subaru and dodge na kailangan ng 95 ron, yun pag nilagyan mo ng unleaded, patay... totope makina. pero for your car, its fine to run unleaded on those.

Maybe a very, very small percentage are still leaded especially in remote areas.
I think when you say "unleaded" you mean "regular" or the cheapest option with the lowest octane rating (typically 93). Usually ang pangalawa has octane rating of 95, then ang pinakamahal has the highest octane rating (96, 97+, etc). The names just vary depending on brand.
Let's not confuse leaded and unleaded gasolines. It can get confusing for the new driver. The thread that VtEC posted is very informative. Have a look over there
So when your uncle said premium, that probably meant Shell Premium which is 93 octane, cheapest and similar to what your cousin dubbed as "unleaded"

93+octane are all consider premium gasolines, unleaded or not. however, there's such a thing as "REGULAR" gasoline which you should also avoid using (madalang naman ito except sa far-flung provinces & barangays).
