    ako depende talaga.
ganito kasi experience ko eh. normally i change oils every 3 months or 5k kms, whatever goes first. i just use mineral oil.

pero the last time, medyo lumampas ako ng around 3 weeks. in fact, nung isang araw lang ako nagpa change oil.

when they drained my oil, kita ko yung parang gunk na namumuong langis sa mga na drain. kung baga sa taho, may konting malalambot na solids na. you would not really want that in your engine in the long run.

siguro, it would depend. kung FS oil ang gagamitin mo, pwedeng longer change intervals, and depende siguro sa gamit ng oto. yung oto ko kasi is a daily driven car and my daily trip averages around 70 kms/day, so reasonable yung ganung interval.

why not just use synthetic oil and change it once a year? tama na yun for low milage engines.

we have the same scenario, obviously you can afford synth oil, use it in all your cars, you'll be sure of good protection for a year or longer... less service, oil and parts needed and also time saving... but if you like mineral engine oil better, use group II api SL rating oil or ACEA a3/b3 oil rated- it's for stay in grade oil for gasoline/light diesel oil or for extended drain interval oil

it would all depend on you. oto mo yan eh.
basta sa akin, i really do not want to gamble on something which i find harmful in the long run, lalo na for a daily driven car. kung weekend car mo yan, medyo pwede pa.

sa toyota.. nakalagay yan 3 months or 5,000kms whichever comes first (regular oil lang, pag FS kasi 10,000kms), may mga kilala ako na low mileage yung sasakyan nila.. tinatawagan sila nang casa kasi yung iba 4 or 5 months na.. hindi pa din nakaka 5,000kms..

IMO, 3 months for every oil change is a bit too much. Kahit daily driver pa siya. Light years ago, when I just learned how to drive, I remember seeing maintenance pointers dun sa Petron station along Don Antonio Avenue. Ang recommended oil change talaga is 5,000 kms or 6 months, whichever comes first.

Personally, I change oil every 7,500 kms (semi-synth, Castrol Magnatec, for the 97 Accord). Makunat ako eh, hehehe.

    technismo, hi.
i do think that it's much better to run your vehicle for at least fifteen minute on the road and running it through gears and reaching operating temp. than letting it sit idle till it's warmed up, your lubricating the inside of your engine and also the gears and joints of your car. ika nga eh, naeexercise. letting the engine idle for a long time without running it on the road dilute your oil and water condensation inside the engine will not evaporate and stay in the oil which will corrode your engine... in your chase it's much better to change the oil every 6mos. maximum... opinion lang, cheers
