binili ko ung engine sa surplus dealer then iniuwi ko sa bahay where i contracted a mechanic and an electrician to work on it. when installation was completed, we ran the engine and it ran smoothly, it looks like okey yong d15 engine na napili ng mekaniko ko. we had the timing belt change during the installation of the engine.
its the same Esi old computer box we used, however we observed the Vtec works a little bit late, further acceleration needed than normal to get the Vtec working, i can only conclude when buying d15 it must come complete with computer box i'm not quiet sure it's only my observation.

gowthead, you're right the d15 came complete with a computer box, i discovered it wasn't fitted for the new engine instead the electrician decided to make do with the old ph16 computer box. supervision on my part ang kulang, when i confronted the electrician, he claimed the ph16 computer box will do just fine. well and good, during test drives, i felt the d15 is an overkill for a light sedan car like esi, it has tremendous reserved power, walang tope. you'd feel like the weight of the car is so light for an engine like d15 and as a result, improved fuel economy, better than ph16. I suggest d15 para sa hatchback mo bro.

ideal nga talaga sana .. kaso kulang pa funds ko ngaun. inuna ko ung body repair (bubong) mejo grabe na kase e. balak ko nga mag loan kahit 50thou. i think that should suffice. pero even if i had the money bigger problem is to get a engine that is in good condition. may prospect na ko either kanzai or drop it. kase from what ive read aside from installing the engine they can also tune it afterwards or check sa mga deperencia o kelangan palitan. sa evang kse naka panood na ko ng instalation sa initial D. kaso lang engine and instalation lang sagot nila you would have to drive the car somewhere else sa tuning o change oil.
