Help! engine overheated, what possible damage should I look out for?

Engine purring like a kitten. I drove it a bit and the engine still performs the same way it did before the overheat happened.

observe the radiator for oil contamination and the engine oil for emulsification (vanilla shake=like). if there are no traces of cross contamination, your engine should be fine. repair the cooling system leak ASAP

I've had a bad experience with over heating. I say if your topping-off with coolant once a week (or more) without noticing any obvious leaks, then get your vehicle thoroughly inspected. Otherwise, you should be fine.

better have the radiator replaced.. kasi baka may hinang na bumigay ulet.. hindi naman basta masisira yan as long as intact yung head gasket.. pag yun bumigay at humalo na tubig sa langis.. overhaul na yan.. yung nissan vanette ng tita ko bumiyahe yun from las pinas to tagaytay and tagaytay to las pinas ng walang tubig sa makina.. kaya pala nasa red zone yung temp gauge na akala namin nasira lang.. pag uwi sa las pinas na namin nalaman na wala palang tubig sa makina kasi may butas sa hose.. ayun hindi naman nasira yung vanette ang tibay din sa overheat
