mahirap kase magsabi sa oil since ang kaya lang natin basehan yung visual (color), viscosity and texture.. from where i work they do some oil analysis pero for big companies na yun

pero sa totoo lang normal na magdarken ang oil regardless of time ng oil change, unless d mo start ang engine, since madami din deposits ang nasa engine natin.

i dont see any problem with it. don't worry about it bro, just observe the proper oil change intervals.

is it advisable to change oil filter halfway between oci's? or is it already unnecessary?

if the oil gets dark that's good. it means it's cleaning the engine. if it doesn't then walang silbi yung oil.

check for thicksness in the oil, if it gets too thick or smells burnt then it's been there too long na.

Me, bago ako mag oil-change, I add a can of Shell Flushing Oil, run for 5 mins. at idling, ayun, tanggal dumi.

is this true... some mechanics pull the dipstick and let the oil drip... if it still drips, good pa daw? myth or true?

    Hello Mga Sir,

Last January 2009 I had the Corolla A/T '95 oil changed sa Rapide sa Quezon Ave., regular/mineral lang - AC Delco yung ginamit.

This April 2009 after it ran just about 1.1 kms I checked lang this morning yung Oil, mejo brown na and i don't smell strong odor of burnt oil although i think i smell a little. Is this normal? Ok pa po ba ito eh kasi nabasa ko po sa mga previous posts na maganda pala yung mejo nagdarken yung oil means effective ito. Na-paranoid kasi ako bigla.

And di ba after 5km interval pa palitan or after 5mos. yata, eh since city driving lang after 4mos. kami kaya 1,000+ kms pa lang ang tinakbo.

Papaano po kung di pa umabot ng 5k kms ang tinakbo after 6 mos. let's say 2.5k lang. Kailangan na po bang palitan?

By the way, the next time I change the oil try ko sa Speedyfix, pero regular pa din siguro, is their synthetic purple oil worth it? I will have my brake and radiator fluids serviced sa kanila this week. I've been reading a lot of positive feedbacks here regarding that shop.

Thank you po in advance sa replies.
    Malaking tulong po kayo.
