Normal RPM

Hey peeps...
Tanong ko lang kung ano dapat ang normal RPM ng Mitsu 95 GLi pag naka-idle? Engine lang ang naka-start ha (no lights/aircon, etc)... May magbabago ba dapat if nag-aircon na ako, or pag may additional loads na gaya ng ilaw, sounds, etc.

normal idling should just be a tad above 850rpm. alam ko negligible lang dapat ang increase pagnaka-aircon na.

yes tama si ssaloon, anywhere between 800 to 850 rpm, pag walang nakabukas. pag may aircon, dadagdag lang ng konti yan, usually, from 850 to 900 rpm.

yung sa akin din nasa 1000 RPM pag bukas aircon. tapos when I turn off the aircon, mas tumataas yung idling (weird no?). itinaas nung mechanic kasi pag below 900 nanginginig yung engine tapos eventually namamatay. Kailangan ko daw magpalit nung kuwan...i forgot what its called kasi madumi na daw. Kaya ayun napakalakas sa gas nung auto. :worried:

Yup! Patay lahat... So dapat pa-tune ko un para ma-set beween 800 and 900... Pero naalala ko dati, nong nasa 900 RPM ko, medyo nanginginig na yong makina, what more pa kaya kung 800... ano ba dapat na inaadjust don?

Dati ganyan ang nangyayari sa auto ko. My ride is a 7g galant . May ininstall na idle-up actuator inserted sa vacuum hose. Toyota brand pa nga ang ginamit. Ayos na. Cost is P 1,800. kasi kung papalitan ang original na Mitsu part na sira, aabot daw ng 9 thou.

Check your engine supports, baka torn na ang rubber.

Same with mine 1,000 flat, then when I turn on my air-con it drops significantly causing the engine to shudder, it doesn't die out though.

I've been trying to figure this out with different mechanics but didn't get anything fixed.

Any ideas?

For my car (GLXi 97) my ideal idling RPMs' are:

1200-1400 RPM- on cold start, engine has not yet reached ideal temperature, this should go down to 800 RPM after a few seconds.

800 RPM - engine has reached ideal temp but without aircon.

900-1000 RPM - engine on ideal temp with aircon.

I used to have those idling problems too, like idle surge and dropping idle when the A/C kick in. When I had my throttle body and servo cleaned, everything returned to normal.
