September 13th, 2009 08:37 AM #1Mga Bossing,
My Innova vvti/at is around 10 months old pa...I made a blunder of drying up its gas (naubusan ako literally ng gas) in one of my recent trips, what horrors, if any, should I expect....Ang careless ko talaga...TIA....

It is possible the in-tank filter would have sucked up the gunk from the bottom of the fuel tank.

Correct me if I'm wrong nalang tsikoteers not sure din kasi dahil hindi ako nagpapasa-id ng gas.

Run out of gas it's hard on the fuel pump mostly and it also is a great way to get all the debris and scuz floating around in the bottom of the tank into the main fuel system to start plugging the fuel filter and injectors. Fuel pumps are cooled by the surrounding fuel and when you're below 1/4 tank it significantly increases wear on the pump.
Most low fuel lights will come on when the vehicle has approximately a 50 mile range before running out of gas. So it's in your best interests to fill your tank when you hit 1/4 .
