+1 this. The winter weight is irrelevant to us anyway and IMO can be safely ignored when it comes to making oil purchase decisions. The "W" rating is measured at 0F, or around -18C. We never see anywhere near that kind of temp.

Usually over 4 liters ginagamit sa change oil ko. Sa Shell using High Mileage oil, 1 gallon lang nilagay. Is that enough? Should I be concern?

The usual gallon is only 3.78L while the metric gallon is 4L. They should have checked if the oil level was at the proper line of the dip stick.

that's what the dipstick is for... to check engine oil level.. remember to let the engine warm up and reach operating temp, park the car on a flat area, turn off engine and measure. should not exceed the full mark.

some folks do it so countless times,
they already know, just how much to pour in.

i once had my oil changed, wherein the mechanic just poured it all in.
but upon checking my dipstick (the correct way, the next morning),
the oil level was spot on.
    swak na swak sa Full.

Understandable if you’re used to servicing small cars or compact cars with small displacement engines. For bigger engines, it is better to check the dipstick.

My old Accord 2.3L requires 4.5L of oil so the usual gallon is not enough. I usually buy 9L since that is good for two change oil periods.

    big engine or small engine,
it is always better to consult the dipstick.
