Not all marketed 'Synthetic' are really such. API classifies GroupIII refined mineral as 'synthetic'. Most US brands mark their GroupIII as FS....they're commonly available & more affordable.
GroupIV PAO based is the true synthetic...most are Euro/German. Less common & pricier. Mobil 1 used to be PAO, the US-blend isn't anymore. Group IV synthetic base stocks generally have very low evaporation loss numbers and high for shear testing.

hindi na gaano importante, nagpapaoverprice lang yan fully synthetic masyado generic yung term.

KAsi kahit semi-synthetic pero API CI4/SL eh long drain interval na.

The Middle East is dry heat, not the humid type of heat we have here. The same thing in desert areas like Arizona and Southern California - dry with very limited moisture.

Sa manual naman may nakasulat kung ano yung alternative viscosity. Honda uses 0w20 FS oil for their gas cars here but you can also opt for 5w30. Ford suggests 5w20 or 5w30 for their gas vehicles. Subaru uses 0w20 for non-turbo and 5w30 for turbo.

I haven’t tried this oil but the X7 is quite good. Mas mahal ng kunti yung X9 at around 500 per liter.

I am currently using Kixx PAO C3 5w30 diesel oil in my dpf equipped crossover. It is not pure PAO but a combination of Gr III & PAO. It isn’t too expensive at P1,500/4 lits. Car is currently running 5k+ & going 5 months with this oil & oil still looks like its not saturated. I plan to change the oil & filter at 7,500 kms to the same brand & type at 5w40, in anticipation of higher temps. I rarely get stuck in heavy traffic anyway & mostly do long extended runs whenever I get the chance.
I am planning to get Cyclon brand FS Gr III 5w40 next, also ACEA C3. Not too pricey also at P1,750/4 lits.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
