    steel brush ba ???

I owned 2 6 wheeled trucks hauling sugar cane sa farm namin
    hehehe

Mga sir, just want to share my 2 cents worth on the topic.

It all boils down to how you maintain your ride and what you put in to maintain your ride. I agree with the gentlemen who made the earlier posts that those who said that diesel engines are hard and expensive to maintain are those who dont know a crap about whats under the hood and what a wrench is

I own a 97 hilander SL and have practically driven the entire length of northern luzon with it. I've had my fair share of parts replacements done(alternator, bushings, ball joints, etc) and I'm glad that majority of these were due to wear and tear. I've also replaced parts due to neglect but at least I learned a lesson from those experiences.

About what I mentioned about "what you put in to maintain your ride", that would refer to the oils, filters, battery and the like. While it is true that you must change the oil every 5T km, the brand I use is good for 20T km (this was according to another vehicle forum with diesel engine oil as its topic. Sorry gentlemen, I dont remember the forum site. I read this sometime 3 years ago). Its very pricey though but I find it a good investment because of the savings I get for maintenance. This is because I believe that the life of a diesel engine would depend on the oil it uses.

Sirs, I would like to stress that the previous paragraph is not a teaser or promotion of a product. In keeping with the rules of ethics, I intentionally did not make mention of the brand name. What was explained there was my experience in negating the topic that our beloved diesel engines are hard and expensive to maintain.

    PEACE TO ALL !!!

mas madali i maintain ang diesel. walang sparkplug, distributor, condenser, etc. madali paandarin.

if i remember it right sabi sa denso eh 20,000 km or eto ba yun replace na...hehe. depende din ata sa gamit. nun pina check ko sa denso the last time may 10,000 km to go pa ako and they just clean it and adjust the opening pressure.

So far, my 2-year old diesel (Starex) is not that hard nor expensive to maintain... Diesel engines nowadays are now 'tamed'.

    Diesel rules the world!

    1901:nolurk:

Laging sinasabi na "hard and expensive" to maintain a diesel engine, bakit po?
