Both work great but perform better when you change the sparkplug wires and (if possible) the distributor.

I use a whole set of splitfire products (irridium sparkplugs, hi-tension wires and distributor) on our archaic 1992 sentra. Works fine with me.

I prefer NGK. When I am isolating idle problem of my Lancer EL 96. I tried replacing my NGK spark plug with Denso equivalent. I found out that Denso accumulated burnt oil on its gap after a week of use. While my NGK have no oil and color greyish white. This lead me to TOH my engine which I found out that the combustion chamber already accumulated carbon deposits. Due to cheap valve seals I installed in my last DIY TOH 2 years ago.

So, if you want to know if your engine was due for TOH. Place a Denso Spark plug and use it for 1 week.

Here's the picture of 4 DENSO Spark Plug. Only 1 have no carbon or burnt oil.

Be careful sa pagbili ng Iridium. Denso Iridium spark plug is rated for 20k km only.

Denso Iridium Long Life (OEM) spark plug is rated for 100k km. kaya lang, hindi nagpapasok ng Denso Iridium Long Life ang local distributor.

NGK G-Power Platinum spark plug is rated for 48k km. NGK G-Power Platinum is available in most auto supply shops so ito gamit ko.

NGK Platinum IX spark plug is rated for 65k to 80k km.
NGK Laser Platinum spark plug is rated for 120k to 160k km.

I wonder if I should replace my spark plugs already? My FB will be 5 years old in July but only at 60k kms and it starts well and the engine runs just fine. Pwede ko kaya sagadin hanggang 100k kms or till tell tale signs appear? Btw, what kind of syptoms indicate need for sp replacement, if ever I push it past 5 years?

If your manual states 100k, and it's still running ok, di pa kailangan.

As I think, Iridium is much better.

Even if it is rated for 100k it is good practice to visually check your spark plug for wear or any other indications. Sometime worn plugs initially produce very subtle manifestations medyo keen ka dapat. Without symptoms or looking 60k in a honda fb your sparkplugs might still be in fine condition especially if you use good fuel.

Yes may fake na NGK. Denso im not sure.

While iridium might be considered "better" than ordinary plugs there are some cars that just require and perform most efficient on ordinary copper plugs. Check your manual nga.
