Idling Problems with Honda d15b

Mga boss need ko ng advice on my Honda d15b engjne.

The idling problem happens ONLY when AC is off. Otherwise, OK naman ang idling. Idling is stable with AC ON or OFF.

Below situation is while AC is off and engine is at operating normal temperature.

On a full stop, idling is normal.
Kapag nag-shift to 1st gear (2nd, 3rd gear etc) to 1500rpm and then neutral, the idling stays at 1500rpm. Idling will only go back to normal (around 800rpm) on a full stop.


Troubleshooting done but still did not solve the problem:
- cleaned throttle body and iacv
- tried re-arranging the accelerator cable

This problem happened all of a sudden. Walang modification na ginawa sa engine before this occurred.

Would appreciate any leads.

maf sensor saka try to clean ung distributor cap...yan lang dati ginagawa ko sa honda ko dati

Different pa yun iacv with maf sensor paps. Facing firewall un iacv. Maf sensor is above the throttle body right after air intake.

Yes, correct. Before with my mazda gen2 i used to clean it with electronic cleaner spray... yung iacv sometimes may mga oil2 na...


the same thing sa distributor cap, kiskisin mo yung mga contact nya sa luob, minsan nag accumulate ang mga dumi2 jan na part..

Update ko lang itong thread. Solved na ang idling problem. Went to Blanche Racing and ang ginawa ay ni-normalize ang idling/rpm using Innovate with tachometer/rpm reading. Then test drive ang kotse and back to normal na ulit ang takbo.

What works they have done po, if you dont mind kinsly share to us please.... is it adjusting the timing and the idle? Or they have clean something in the intake or in the combustion... [emoji4] vtec revs na ulit! Ayos! Congrats!

Hi sir. Yup Smooth criminal na ulit ung kotse hehe!

Only work they did is to normalize the idling via that Innovate with tachometer reading (though Innova pa nga ang tawag, cinorrect ako ni Kuya hehe).

Nakapark sa labas ung kotse ko while I am talking to them telling the idling behavior and napalinis ko na din ang throttle body and iacv.

I even offered them na pwede natin i-test drive para hit on the dot un behavior na binanggit ko.

Iba pa din kasi pag actual na nalaman un abnormal idling behavior.

Sabi ni kuya hindi na daw need at ipasok ko na daw ang kotse sa loob. So pinasok ko un kotse and he popped the hood and connected the Innovate device.

He normalized the idling via the idling screw. I was told he never rely with the rpm reading in the gauge because it is a little inaccurate.

And I confirm that gauge reading is lower than the actual for my situation.

After that, nilabas na ang kotse from the garage at sinamahan nya ako i-test drive. Na-surprise ako at naging normal na ang idling ko. I thought it was something else deeper.

It was a 10 minute job lang. Kudos to them. They were really experienced on what they do.

Busog din mata ko sa mga kotse na nasa loob.
