Idler bearing ... Saan ba located 'to sa 99 Civic?

Checking from our catalogue, Honda engines doesn't have idler bearing. The timing belt uses belt tensioners to keep it tight and right on time.

Yup. Wala idler bearing sa timing belt. But civics have one on the aircon belt. This is where you make adjustments on the compressor belt tension.

You can bring your car on any aircon shop or you can DIY for replacement. I had also replaced it on my civic. Just use a good bearing.

just in case you do change the bearing of the AC pulley. it would last longer if you add more bearing grease into the bearing. all you have to do is pop out the side of the bearing and stuff it with grease. usually those bearing hardly have any grease. don't buy the bearing with the metal sides. these are not heavy duty. buy the ones that have plastic or ruberrized sides. you'll notice that they are more expensive but they will withstand more punishment.

Just to add to mintoy's post, buy it with C3 suffix designation. Sample, 6203-2RS1/C3. This has enough ball bearing gap for high speed bearing use. Do not be surprised if you happen to open it straight out of the box with little play or movement.

ayun. ang galing! pero since may play ang C3 does it tend to be noisy?

Same din ba ito sa sinasabi ni mintoy na platic/rubber and sides, that I can put additional lubricant sa loob?

Bahagyang-nahagya ang gap po nito Malaki na ang 1-2mm gaps. The size was meant to run with high speed industrial machines.

Mas mura ang one sided seal; pag 1 side metal usually 6203-Z or 6203-Z/C3. Pag single side rubberized seal 6203-RS1 or 6203-RS1/C3.
