All the Mobil 1's available here in the US has a silver container with different caps (gold, silver, blue, black and red).
I believe parehong orig yan. The ones in the silver container are those intended for the US (and European??) market.
The ones in the gold container are the ones intended for the asian market. If you notice these gold ones list a Singapore address as opposed to the silver ones which have a US address.

i use that Mobil SuperSyn 0W-40 in the gold container, fully synthetic. maganda kasi the oil is thin (no less stress for moving compinents inside engine, prolonging engine life and providing better fuel mileage) but still can protect the engine at high temperatures.
in contrast, Havoline Energy is 5W-30, which can still be considered thin oil, but has lesser protection on high temps unlike the above mentioned.
Usual mineral oils are rated 20W-50.
mobil 1 0W40 is what audi use and the only recommended brand and weight for my car. 5w50 is a bit thicker. check your manual to see the recommended oil for your car.Originally Posted by KCboy
Am also using M1 5w-50 in my truck(F-150) but ford specifies 5w30. Try reading this link, it's very informative.Originally Posted by KCboy
