    i have a 1.6L 3ZZfe on my 2004 altis. 75K km...
    i have put NGK platinum spark plugs and 15w40 engine oil...
    has simota air filter...
    i olweiz make sure everything is clean and proper maintainance is olweiz observed...
    no excess weight...
    i olredy removed my exhaust silencer to give it a more strong output sound...
    anu pa po ba ang pede kong gawin? ung mejo affordable po...
    gusto ko po kc ung car ko n nde mayabang tignan but may ipagyayabang inside...

    (performance > appearance)

    ^^ performance is not equal to good fuel cost, you would just have to choose what things you want.

    pero, imho, the things that you have done would be ok.

    Increased performance of a car requires more fuel to be burned at a faster rate.

    So higher performance = increased fuel consumption.

    Cheapest way is to lose weight. The car, I mean

    Power to weight ratio increases that way. Plus you still get to have good fuel economy due to weight loss (less mass to carry around).

    I dont know if available in the philippines. If it is, it may cost you around 120,000 pesos plus installation.
