    guys,

may problema fuel gauge ko!! ok sya pag full tank, pero pag kalahati na lang ang laman, biglang mapupunta sa Empty yung needle. Tapos, biglang aakyat sa 1/2 after a few moment. Minsan naman from 3/4 napunta ng 1/4 while travelling from tagaytay to las pinas. :?

nagtanong naman ako ng floater, susme P1.5k, tapos mahirap daw magpalit ng floater ng Gen1 pajero.

saan & ano kaya ang problema dito?

I think it's a "resistance" problem. The floater have this wire-wound resistor, pagluma na ito nagagasgas na ng husto so nawawala ang kontak in the middle (half tank). Then pagbumalik ang kontak it would be back "on line" nanaman giving you the right reading.

You can DIY it if you could pull-out this floater/sensor assembly from the gas tank, you can just "press" the contact para magkaroon ng connection when its in the middle part. Pinakamahirap na magbabang gas tank to gain access dun sa sensors (which is usually nasa itaas ng tank). Next na mahirap ay pag-open ng sensor (if you're lucky baka naka screw bolts lang ito na maliit that you could open with a philips driver). Minsan kasi merong maarte na pang close.

It's relatively easy (mga 5 beses na ako siguro nakapagbukas at repair niyan), the principles are all the same...I have yet to see an electronic sensor. Lahat mechanical in nature.

Ingat ka lang sa baka mahulugan ng dumi yung gas tank when you open it. Kung mukhang mahirap gawin or you don't have the necessary gamit, might as well bring it sa mechanic na kayang gumawa nito.

    my 2 cents.

    Wildthing, thanks a lot!
    Now the next question is:

who among you Gen1 pajero owners have pulled-out the sensor? mahirap ba? san banda nakalagay yung sensor? kailangan bang tanggalin yung buong tangke ng gasolina? 8O

I don't think you need to drop the tank on the GEN I. Mitsubishi has thoughtfully provided an access hole via the luggage compartment. Just peel back the carpet and it's there sitting in the middle.

    OTEP,

Hanggang dukot lang ako ng float. I don't know how to service it. Btw, online na ulit yung Pajero Forums sa sig ko. Dami DIY dun. Ask them how to do it properly.

bogart:::loose contact lang yan. remove the carpet. may retaining bar yan na may screws if you look down pag open mo ng rear door. pag nakataas na ang carpet feel mo sa foam yun cover. may screws yan kaya makakapa mo. cut away the foam and unscrew it. then makikita mo yon terminal na nasa ibabaw ng fuel tank. remove it and clean/tighten the terminal and contacts. it would be better to put a separate wire na naka anchor sa top ng sensor para tight at swak na swak. screw the cover and use rugby to put the foam in place. hope this works.

    Otep, Afrasay,
Thanks for the info. Read also from the Pajero forums almost the same instruction as what Afrasay suggested.
Tiningnan ko rin kagabi, ayun nga! Mukhang madaling tanggalin. Thanks a lot guys! Mabuhay ang Dieselclub.Org.
