HELP!!! Idle problems

Guys,

patulong naman...

I have 1993 mitsu lancer glxi... ang problema ang idling niya... on a regular idle, ok na ok siya... pero pag nag-on na ang aircon compressor, todo baba ang idle niya up to a point na namamatayan...

pinacheck ko at ang mga sinabi eh:

1. computer box
2. throtle vavle
3. idle up
4. servo kit

sabi nung dati kong officemates malamang idle up... sana tama siya kasi mura lang daw yun...

will send it sa mekanik this weekend... need your inputs naman.... tenks...

ay ganun ba? kahit na ok naman ang minor niya pag walang aircon? pag may aircon compressor lang naman bumababa...

sabi din nga nung dati kong officemate usual problems daw ng lancer ang servo kit... yun din ang unang sagot niya...

may idea ka ba magkano ang servo kit for lancer 93?

very common prob ang servo kit sa lancer... i know at least 4 friends of mine with lancers that have changed theirs already.

AFAIK kahit okay ang menor mo kung naka-off ang AC, basta hindi normal and idle speed kapag naka AC ka, there's a possibility it's a servo kit problem.

Sorry I have no idea how much a servo kit for your car is. Normally kung brand new yan aabot ka ng around 10K.

tanong-tanong ka muna baka may mas mura pa.

just a suggestion, you may want to try and have your fuel injector cleaned by casa.
ask mo muna how much. i don't think its expensive.

i've heard nga na lancer usually has problem with the servo kit.

i have a '93 corolla Gli before with the same problem. brought it to several repair shops, and most of them say idle-up, etc. replaced them but it didn't solve the problem.

dinala ko sa toyota, they said i only have to have the fuel injector cleaned. it worked, it only cost me only Php300.

but other toyota casa were also advising me to replace it.
i think the fuel injector of the corolla = servo kit of the lancer ,other casa refer to this as the servo kit din kasi. guys correct me if im wrong.

This I'm pretty sure, fuel injector is totally different sa servo kit.

Servo kit might be the same or equivalent as idle-up switch (or something) for other cars. Not too sure about this though

servo kit yan dude! sakit ng mga mitsu yan eh. just had mine recently replaced for 14k (casa price)

sayang, may nagsabi sakin na merong brand new OE servo kit sa banawe priced at 9k. forgot the name of the shop though.

if you want, you can check for the name of the shop sa clubmitsu forums under the galant message board. "7g idling problem" yung name ng thread.

maraming maraming salamat talaga sa mga inputs ninyo... pagpunta ko sa mekanik at least alam ko na mga options ko...

sana huwag naman servo kit... la pa akong perang pampalit nun...

you can buy servo kit, which includes the gears, magnetic oscillator gear, gasket and a pack of grease. It costs me around 1.2k a few months back. Let someone knowledgeable about mitsu replace it.

I replaced it myself. It's better let knowledgeable mechanic do the job. I replace the kit with servo still attached to intake manifold, nahirapan ako ibalik yun stopper ng plunger, muntik pa nawala yun stopper (small piece of aluminum with tiny screw).

imho, kung ayaw mo gumastos taasan mo na lang yung idle mo... start yung engine at operating temp, open the aircon and adjsut the idle screw to the level na maayos ang rpm but not too much

pre yung nga ang ginagawa ko ngayon... 1,200 ang rpm ko pag malamig ang panahon... pero pag tirik ang araw, nilalagay ko sa 1,500... lumakas ang gas ko pre... +200 per week ako... magka-pera lang ako ipapaayos ko na talaga ito...

yep your servo assembly is in trouble, you can buy the repair kit if the motor is still working... if not you have to buy the whole servo motor Assy. you can get it at 8k. labor 300. if you have trouble you can reach me at 410-2997

canvas ako kanina sa banawe while looking for clutch assembly ng hipag ko... the servos range between 8k-9700... di ata abot budget as of now sa price na iyon... baka ipon na muna at tiis tiis... may masisira bang ibang parts kung hindi ko muna paparepair?

with regard sa repair kit naman... yun ata eh para sa mechanical parts ng servo... not sure... paki correct naman po ako... confirmed na nga pala... yung mga solenoids ang may tama... I used a test posted in club mitsu... fail ang 3 out of 4 coils ko... laking sira...

sir, tanong ko lang po kung no nangyari sa kotse nyo? ano po ba yung may sira? kasi, problema ko rin po ngayon yun kaya gusto ko rin pong malaman. kasi po sir kapapalit ko lang ng servo assy pero ganun pa rin. need your help sir.

o kahit sino po sa inyo mga sir...hinihingi ko po mga tulong nyo na may alam po tungkol dito. kailangan ko lang po talaga malaman. maraming salamat po!

check the Idle up mechanism ng A/c, baka nawalan lang ng contact (so you should reseat it). you should hear a loud click that sounds like... TSK! (you can even hear it while inside the car) the minute that you turn on the a/c. You might just not spend a single dime if you find out that that is the only problem.
