Thats 2x the thickness of coke zero cans. Will that be done on 4 cylinders? Paano kaya magagawa yan?
Engines are blocks of metal so heat transfer is ideal. A liner in the cylinder sounds sketchy imo.

Yup it's the right thing to do. Put liners on all 4 cylinders and hone it to match the piston and clearance for the piston rings and it's good to go. You need to use an oversized piston ring and shave it to the exact clearance of the liners. Buy original rings in this case.
It's best to put liners instead to re bore your block. Also cheaper as you will not buy new pistons. Only the rings will be new. Critical here is the clearance of the rings. If done wrong your engine will have loose compression later on and will shorten the life of your engine. If done right 7 to 10 years is good maybe more it will depends on your maintenance

Walang difference in performance daw.

The machine shop will rebore your block to accommodate the liners. Just make sure they use a good liner. There are liners kasi na mahinang klase. I forgot the brand of liners our mechanic use.
Performance would be back to 1.5 using liners but if you just rebore your block to the next bigger size then your engine would have an increase in displacement. Like maybe 1.6

Your good to go then Sir. Don't forget to ask for warranty sa machine shop at sa mechanic. Also after all is done you will have to break-in your engine. Meaning no a/c till you get to 1k kms. Our mechanic has a system where he release his newly overhauled cars in semi break-in condition already. This shortens the km needed so you can use your a/c asap
