Help - Diesel engine oil in petrol car

You have to consider another vital job of an engine oil, which is to suspend combustion by-products using detergents. Gasoline and Doesel engines produces vastly different by-products. It then follows that the wrong oil can be deteimental to the engine if the detergents within the oil is incompatible with the by-products.

Thats is why you shouldnt just use any diesel oil.

If you want to use diesel oils, check the label kung labeled sya for gas engines. Usually yung may tatak na SL tapos may diesel rating din na CI(etc)

That's what I said several posts back. My last post above is to address the misconception that Diesel oil is better for gasoline engines because of their detergent properties.
