May 24th, 2010 01:35 PM #1Hi. I have a 2008 Honda City 1.3 iDSI CVT. I had my last tune up about 4 months ago. Last night, I checked the oil level and noticed that it was above the maximum level. I tried checking on a cold and warm engine and they are almost at the same level. I did not notice any anomalies since my last checkup but I am a bit worried that this could cause some major damage. Here is a picture of the oil level:
Is this okay or am I screwed?

May 24th, 2010 07:03 PM #3for your peace of mind, you could have the excess oil drained. i don't think there'll be any long term damage, but just to be sure, have it done right away.

The "Maximum" mark on the dip stick is there for a reason. I suggest you follow it to the dot, so to speak.
Choice I would have made as well.
