March 5th, 2008 04:23 PM #1Mga Sir,
My car is Civic vti 2000 AT... I'd like to ask po sana bakit may grinding sound pg tinatapakan ko ang accelarator pedal ko while running... naririnig ko yung grinding sound kpag nakamenor ako say 20kph to 40 kph or 50kph. pero pg nasa 60 kph na nawawala na. Then pg ngslow down ako ulit then press ulit ng accelarator naririnig ko ulit yung sound. Pg freewheeling naman po wala kahit naka menor ako. Lady driver po ako kaya di ko po alam kung ano ang culprit ng problem na to. Help naman po.
Thanks in advance.

Check your transmission fluid level. Also check the consistency of the fluid, if it seems like there is water or any contaminants in it. It's possible that it's contaminated... if the sound is at low speeds, then that may be your torque converter grinding (not a good thing).
But this is all guessing... it'd be best to take it to a mechanic for a once-over. It might even be something as simple as a stuck-up brake... but we can't effectively diagnose it online.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

hey there, well ayon sa aking bolang kristal.. joke! hehehe but seriously though, is it a "Grinding" sound or a "Rattling" sound??? medyo mahirap hulaan kung saan talaga nangagaling ang tunog na yon. pero... sinasabi pa rin ng aking bolang kristal ... that theres a possibility na either may loose na bolt sa Heat Sheild ng Exhaust System mo (which will cause a "rattling" or even a "grinding" sound, specially if the engine is running or at load) .. this is a pretty common problem on Honda's (specially pag kinakalawang ang mga parts sa pang ilalim).
but anywayz, did you try to rev your car while its on Parked [P] position (rev it at 2-3K RPM's, and see if you can still hear the sound??
aite, peace.Last edited by KBR; March 7th, 2008 at 02:49 PM.
