I also read that this motor oil have high detergency additives that removes engine sludge slowly and suspend them sa oil to be trapped sa filter, kung gaano katagal cleanse the engine sludge, siguro, depende na sa amount present.

Volatility is inversely proportional to ZDDP content.
Meaning, the lesser the ZDDP content, the more likely na mag change to gas state ang motor oil and ma-coat ng motor oil ang catalytic converter.

September 15th, 2013 09:06 AM #15ZDPP ia one known poison of the catalyt in a catalytic converter, oil mist can somehow be carried over sa gas exhaust via the valve seals..WALA namang perfect sealing engine..thru that mapupunta yung ZDPP. my stance is mas priority ko engine parts Kesha sa catcon. And not instantaneously naman masira ang catcon..it's expensive but dami mabilihan surplus nito.

Sir Jiggs answered your comment. I hope you'll stop praying.
Sumasama din sa combustion chamber ang oil. What determines if it will become gas is the temperature and PRESSURE inside the chamber. (You can boil water at zero degrees celsius) Once it changes to gas state, the hydrocarbon engine oil will ignite. Engine oils are hydrocarbons with additives like zinc, zinc will still be zinc and will not participate with the fuel-oil-oxygen combustion. It will be in a gaseous state though and will pass thru the cat con.
That's what they (API and car manufacturers) say.
Having an API license is expensive, but if you do have it, car manufacturers will promote your oil.
It's all about money.

ZDDP content of less than 1200 ppm is safe for cat con of gasoline engines, that's API CI-4/SL grade, as per previous posts dito
