March 26th, 2013 03:09 PM #1May problem yata ako sa gas/diesel tank or floater ng auto ko.
The automatic gas pump would always automatically stop within a few seconds kahit hindi pa puno yung gas tank.. since palagi ko sinasabi sa gas attendant na automatic na full tank yung pinapalagay ko.
nagulat na lang ako na for the past 2 months palagi na lang tumitigil yung automatic gas/diesel pump kahit less than 10 liters pa lang yung nakasulat sa pump meter pero nag auto stop na siya. Kaya ginagawa ng attendant ay manual na lang until pumuno siya. pero even nung mapuno yung tank, the fuel gauge will still be below the full tank line, usually above 3/4 lang siya pero nag overflow na yung gas sa tank.
i tried going to different gas stations (petron/shell) and different pumps and halos pareho yung results.
Ano kaya problem dito fuel tank or floater?
I am using a 2007 Strada diesel with a 2.5L diesel engine. full casa maintenance siya. ayaw ko muna pasok sa casa at baka malaki yung gastos pero it will be my last option kung sakali lang. .

IMO yung floater system ang problem. Lagi ba full tank kung mag refill ka? Yung floater kasi may parang small embeded line. If this line naupod na, di na magregister sa dash mo ang accurate quantity ng gas tank. Happened to me on my old ride before, lagi kasi halos 1/2 lang pakarga ko. Pagbukas sa floater half of the "embeded line" upod na

your fill hose might be restricted or your vent hose or burp hose (the smaller hose parallel to the fill hose leading to the filler neck) might be kinked or plugged up. the back pressure made during refueling makes the gas station back pressure sensor cut the pump operation out. please refrain from calling the fuel level float as floater. in homicide terminology it means a dead human body floating on a river or ocean or swimming pool.Last edited by jick.cejoco; March 26th, 2013 at 05:06 PM.

April 12th, 2013 12:55 AM #5Sir musta na auto mo? I think we have the same problem. I changed my engine from 2E (Corolla) to 5Afe and installed a new fuel tank. The needle of my gauge doesn;t go all the way to the last line. So my basis for refueling is when LED lights turned on. I guess fuel level/needle/sensor is the culprit. San mo pinagawa ung sayo? thanks.
