Fuel Tank Capacity

hey guys, in your experience, what is the lowest fuel level (in terms of liters) you had in your fuel tank before your next refill? what is the safest minimum level?

1 and something liter in a gas... and for a diesel, I emptied it and got away with it.. luckily,thanks to an extra 5 liters of diesel I always keep inside the SUV...

ran out of gasoline before. it happened during midnight or so.worst, i was with my wife and 2 year old kid. i was barely able to get the car to the side of the road. good thing the nearest gasoline station was 3 blocks away..

after that, safest minimum level for me is half tank full

Lowest ko 5 liters. I wouldn't want to do that again. The norm is 1/4 tank, dapat karga na.

ako kapag 1/4 na lang ng gauge karaga na rin ako. pero naexperience ko rin yung umabot sa "E" line, nakakakaba baka bigla huminto yung kotse, buti na lang may nakita agad ako gasoline station.. hehehe! :D

Same as me, pwede pang itakbo ng >50 km based from my FC=9.2 li/km kung walang gas station na malapit...

Pero worst experience ko ay sa ibang bansa,- umilaw na ang warning light at nasa freeway ako, at madaling araw pa... Buti na lang may gasoline station na bukas sa next exit,- pero siguro mga 10km pa ang tinakbo ko,- kaya kabadong kabado ako.... hehehe

SIgnal for me talaga is pag lighted na warning LED (over 8 liters as per manual), medyo aware na talaga ako to gas up. I know naman na i can still run for more than 100km pero i see to it na within the next 50km run ko, daan na ako sa alin mang fave gas station ko.

worry ko lang, what if busted na pala light ko....

A long long time ago, naubusan ako ng gas due to very very heavy traffic during the 75th anniversary of INC. My car then was Isuzu Gemini. Hindi naman nasira ang fuel pump.

Empty. Safest minimum? Follow your low fuel light. Or 1/4 tank is safe, pag matipid sasakyan mo. If diesel and you know your car can run on alternative fuels, carry some bottles of veggie oil. And know where the primer pump is.

yes nakakasira ng fuel pump pag parating sinasagad ang fuel. this happend to my bro's accord (kuripot kasi). one time ayaw na mag start. sira na yung fuel pump.

as for me 1/4 sa fuel gauge nagkakarga na ako..mahirap na maubusan sa daan lalo pag medyo malayo sa mga gas station and during night time...

just know your car and know where you're going para hindi kayo kinakabahan kapag less than 1/4 nalang yung fuel nyo.

hindi ko sasadyain ang gas station para lang magpa-refuel, kahit gaano pa kalapit yun, unless kapit bahay mo lang yung gas station.

Never fill up your tank when you see a Tanker sa gas station. Nag mi-mix kasi yung latak/dumi pag diskarga ng fuel sa underground tanks. It will usually take an hour for the latak to settle down.
