My fuel gauge always keeps on fluctuating. When I steer right, it goes down suddenly and up if I steer left. It's a '96 Civic VTi, and the same problem is present in other Hondas, like the ESi. Please help.

Possibly floater problem or the "resistor" in the floater. Your casa should be able to fix it right.

Kung wala kang pera, iDIY mo...baklasin mo at tingnan mo kung me "contacts" ang resistor nya when you move the floater up or down.

ganyan din problem ko sa van ko. pag half full na yung fuel tank, bigla na lang mag-i-empty sa may fuel gauge. sigurado yung rheostat ang problema nito. titingnan ko kung puwede pa irepair pag may time ako.

squala, based on your description, floater ang problem mo. tabingi ang pagkakabit. yung biglang baba pag steer mo to the right at biglang taas pag steer to the left is due to the inertia of the floater. pero kung naka center ang kabit niyan, dapat hindi gagalaw yan. iikot mo lang ng konti yung floater assembly mo. kung nasa rear part ng fuel tank, CCW ang ikot at kung nasa may bandang front, CW naman.

pansin ko yan sa Honda. If youre going downhill, umaangat. Thats typical of floaters naman. Tama si Julian, baka saliwa ang install ng sender. Was your tank removed or modified in any way?

To have an accurate reading pls. steer straight. joke

Seriously, your erratic reading could be a result of loose connection between your floater and the meter. Check connection first before going into the complicated stuff.
