Sundan mo lang ang fuel line either from the tank or from the injection pump. Usually canister-type siya with a hand pump on top.

Goodluck searching.

    Sir Otep,
"Usually canister-type siya with a hand pump on top."

depends on the quality of diesel you use. i also have a surplus engine sa minicruiser ko and I usually change the fuel filter once a year pero if i had money i change it every 6 months kasabay ng palit ng oil, oil filter at air filter para swabe

sir, i use petron diesel sa lc60 namin. siguro i'll better change the fuel filter every 6 months (or 10,000kms) to be safe. luma narin kasi yung 2B engine namin kaya mas maganda na yung malinis yung fuel palagi.

    thanks.

FYI lang. I just replaced Fuel Filter of my FieldMaster last Saturday as I'm having difficulty getting it started in the morning. Big improvement on cold start response, its now more responsive when accelerating. For my ride, it is recommended to be replaced every 10K km.

Another question... what are the feedbacks on using OEM vs. replacement canister filters? Any recommended brand? My dilemma now is i want to change every 10,000m vs. every 20,000km that is recommended by the manual but the Frontier uses two fuel filters and it's quite pricey for the OEM (sets me back around 4K).

    What then is more adviseable?
    1. Status Quo: Change every 20,000km and stick to the OEM fuel filter
    2. Change every 10,000km but employ a replacement brand.

    samson,
Yes, yung binobomba na may parang metal can sa ilalim. Yun ang filter na attached sa pump.

    vinj,
I've had good results using ViC fuel-filters. They cost around Php 600.00/canister.

You just unscrew the canister under the pump. Then, kapag nakuha mo na yung canister, you unscrew the plastic thingie under it. You buy a new filter and put the plastic thing on it then reattach new filter to old pump.

Sir OTEP, Yung plastic thingie under it - yun ba yung fuel filter sensor na may electrical wire na naka attach? Ito yata ang nakakabit sa indicator lamp sa dashboard - lights up when you have to change your fuel filter? Tama po ba ito?

pwede rin or it lights up when too much water is accumulated or too much dirt ;)
