gurus, any comment on this sanyo fuel saver? this device is sold here in davao city for 3,5t. point A is a container for kersone going to point B, the device itself. point C is where the hose ends. id like to validate this device here before having one. this pic is taken from a friend's car who swears it really saves fuel and increases engine power. thanks

i can't see the logic, adding additional fuel (kerosene) to the intake to save on fuel? the device looks like a simple atomizer (mixer) to dilute the kerosene to be mixed with the intake air.

S-C-A-M.
And to top it off, if this isn't related to the electronics firm Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd., the manufacturers of this device should be sued for illegal use of the trade name 'Sanyo'.

Looks like an off-shoot of the air-bleed system being sold as the Khaos Super Turbo Charger. The gimmick here is the kerosene vapors that supposed to help increase your fuel millage. Personally the amount of kerosene vapors will not make a difference. (This sounds like mixing kerosene in their fuel to help increase millage.)
You should ask your friend to have his diesel engine checked if it needs to be tuned up. You can ask him to do a test by running the engine with the bottle but with no kerosene. Another test with the entire system plugged off.

September 20th, 2007 01:59 AM #10From the looks of it, it looks like it would really save you on diesel...
But you'll have to spend on the kerosene. Isn't kerosene more expensive than diesel nowadays?
The principle I see here is from the rumors that gas stations used to mix kerosene with diesel to make the blend cheaper. But now that kerosene is more expensive, it defeats the purpose.
