Fuel additives

Are bottled fuel additives like STP, Gumout, etc. really effective in cleaning the fuel system, carb, injectors, valves which could improve performance as what their manufacturers claim?

I dont really know what kind of benefit we can get out of this, siguro additional expenses lang, The only thing I use some of this becoz I've got it for here in the company here in abroad, I bring this one everytime I go for vacation. This STP, Mobil Power additive or Carb and EFI cleaners. I'd rather buy the petrol rather than this

I think they're just gasoline with little drops of additives. I've tried them before and no change to the car's performance and economy.

There's also the carb and choke spray cleaner, but I'm also not sure if it can really take out the dirt.
