June 5th, 2006 09:29 AM #1dunno how to describe it any better...while cruising along SLEX a around 60 -70kph, it felt like the engine stalled for split second, and para kang nag free wheel for a split second. it's kinda like the feeling you get when you let go of the gas pedal suddenly(but i didn't). hindi naman siya consistent, although 3 times siya nangyari sa kin over the weekend.
it's a very old ae92 with a 2e engine, and these days it's only being used about 2-3x a week. malamig lang kaya ung engine kaya nagkaganyan? it didn't used to do that though. the only thing i replaced in recent memory is the spark plug wires and the spark plugs
problem with the fuel system kaya? o sa carb?

June 10th, 2006 12:26 PM #6hmm...the sparkplugs i used were purchased 1yr+ ago. ok lang ba gamitin uli? i noticed that one of them developed some rust near the HT wire connection. nanghihinayang kasi ako, original pa naman mga yun...

June 10th, 2006 07:19 PM #9well, i replaced all of the sparkplugs(went with NGK platinums this time), and reused one of the old HT wires -- there's this crackling noise near one of the sparkplugs(bad connection between sparkplug and HT wire perhaps?) -- ganun pa rin, pero parang tumino ng konti
buo pa naman ung contact point.
ung carb kasi kakalinis ko lang 2-3 months ago.
at idle, parang sinisinok ung engine; i.e. you can definitely detect "gaps" in the engine hum, parang sinisinok, although not as evidentLast edited by badkuk; June 10th, 2006 at 07:22 PM.
